<H2> Frequently Asked Questions

H3- Are all skid steer attachments universal?

The universal skid steer loader attachment bracket called “quick attach” makes it possible to interchange attachments for different brands and models of skid steers and compact track loaders. Some skid steers and compact wheel loaders even use the same system which means that the same attachment can be used for both machines. However, that does not mean that the skid steer has the hydraulic capacity to run every power attachment like cold planers and brush mulchers. Make sure to review the power requirements for each attachment to ensure that your skid steer can handle it.

H3- What is a universal skid steer mount?

A universal skid steer mount is an attachment bracket that is designed to fit on a variety of different brands and models of skid steers and compact track loaders. This allows you to interchange attachments between machines, making your fleet more versatile.

H3- What is the difference between a skid steer and a compact wheel loader?

A skid steer is a small, maneuverable machine that is used for a variety of tasks, including digging, grading, and landscaping. A compact wheel loader is a larger machine that is typically used for construction projects. Compact wheel loaders have the ability to lift heavier loads than skid steers, but they are not as maneuverable.

H3- What skid steer attachments require high flow?

Skid steer attachments like brush mulchers, cold planers and rock saws require high flow. This means that the skid steer must have a high-flow hydraulic system in order to run these attachments.

H3- How far should the locking pins go through the bucket of a skid steer attachments?

The locking pins on skid steer attachments should go through 1/3 at a minimum. Do not depend on the spring mechanism to hold the pins fully down under use loads and make sure that the lever mechanism is blocking the pins from rising out of the slots.
